Kari’s guidance couldn’t have come at a better time. I was exploring opportunities on moving my career from LA to Seattle and once I had two job offers on the table, I was having a difficult time weighing out both options, in addition to making such a huge move from my home.

Kari’s approach is unbiased and empathetic; not once did I feel she was just doing a job. There’s a sense of care and a genuine desire to help you make the best decision for your future. Working in media and marketing, my time was incredibly restricted on when I could take the time to discuss my dilemma with Kari. She remained available and was always accommodating with how hectic my schedule was; through numerous reschedules (on MY end) and conversations in increments of 15 minutes. She’s very respectful of your time crunches and was ready and willing to work with me.

She brings in great perspective and really helps you in how to approach career opportunities, no matter how daunting they may appear. Never once did I feel she was pushing toward one decision and I truly believe she understands a situation and can gauge what is best for a given individual. She made me feel heard when I discussed my fears of leaving my established home in Los Angeles and a sense of anticipated regret if I chose the wrong job in Seattle.

I can honestly say that with her guidance, I picked the better job offer in Seattle and feel 100% confident that it was the right decision. Even with encroaching doubts on my first day, I was able to send her a text and within minutes, she countered those doubts with warm and kind words, while offering advice on how to approach these situations. She never makes you feel that your concerns or worries aren’t rational and ALWAYS has the guidance on how to counter your fears.

I lost my job and was confused about where to go next. I knew I wanted to change career paths, but did not know where to start. Käri became my boss the same day I was on a horrible production that was quickly going south, and upper management was getting upset. I can honestly say that Käri was the best boss I ever had. There are a myriad of reasons why. But most of all I truly valued and benefitted from her ability to listen, reflect and provide guidance. She was so adept at helping me to understand my own motivations and hang-ups. This was invaluable when we worked within the same organization, and I still look to her for this guidance regarding my career overall. Not only does she have the life and industry experience to back up her guidance, but she really cares about the emotional side of a person's decisions, not just the rational and business-based. I'm both better as a person and stronger in my career as a result of Käri’s influence.

I worked with Käri for seven and a half years. During those seven years I grew tremendously, which is in no small part due to Käri‘s mentorship and guidance. Käri is the most understanding person in the world. She is one of those people everyone relies on for help and she never shows the stress of it. She thrives on the pressure and expectations. She's easy to relate to because of her life experiences, relationships, and expertise in business. Käri is my rock for personal or professional guidance, she calms me down in every freak out moment I have. She knows me well enough to know when I need her, even through a simple text or email.

I can't put my finger on exactly how it's possible for one person to be so great at guiding so many people through so many different situations. I think it’s a mix of her mid-western sweetheartedness and her practicality. But more than anything else, I trust Käri to guide me in the right direction. She takes the time to listen and never judges. Käri suggests ideas I didn't even think of, which allows me to see different angles of the situations. And when I'm wrong, she lets me know. She's just as honest as I am with her.

One thing I love about Käri is how she makes me want to be a better person because of who she is. Her passion for helping women and animals from all walks of life is truly admirable. She'll make you laugh. She'll cry with you. She has your heart and soul in mind. She wants you to thrive.

Käri was put on this earth to help us. Without her, I wouldn’t be half the woman I am today.

When I met Käri she quickly became my co-worker, friend, mentor, confidant and my overall go to for advice. Käri is a breath of fresh air. She is the calm before the storm. Having just graduated college, I, like most recent grads, found myself to be in the middle of a bitter struggle between balancing my personal life and my professional one. Feeling pressure from my family to pursue a career in finances, I instead made the decision to explore my creative talents as a photographer and apply for my dream internship at an advertising agency. Although I understood how competitive the position would be, I really had no idea that it was near impossible. It was through the application process and my first interview with Käri that I soon realized how great of an honor it was to even be considered for an opportunity such as this one. It was Käri who was the first to see my true potential and give me the chance I so desperately needed. She not only saw my potential, but made me realize the extent of it as well. Käri took me under her wing and provided me with invaluable guidance and mentoring that I am grateful for to this day. Working and learning from a woman like Käri made such a positive impact on my life and was truly one of the most influential experiences of my life.

As I look back and reflect on that internship, and acknowledge where I am now in my career and see how far I have come, l owe a great deal of my success to the time I spent with Käri. She is the one who made it all possible. She recognized me as an individual that would rise to the challenge, and with her confidence it inspired me to rise above and beyond. Through her words of wisdom, advice, patience and understanding, I learned that I do have something of value to contribute and more importantly that I want to contribute. She helped bring me back to life during a time where I really need direction, she helped provide me with a light and the tools necessary to shine. I am lucky to have her in my life as a mentor and a friend. I owe a great deal of my current and future success to Käri and to that first day and interview when I stepped into her office.
